How We Will Use Your Information
There are three things that we will do with your information:
- We will send you periodic updates and news items about our work and the issues we work on.
- We will periodically ask you to take specific actions that can substantially help achieve the goals of our campaigns.
- We will solicit your financial help for the work of Equal Justice USA. You may call us or email us to let us know whether and how often to contact you to ask for such help.
When you give EJUSA personal information, it is located on a computer system accessible only through a secure website by EJUSA staff. Another copy of your data may be located in a secure database on the EJUSA premises.
When you give us financial information, we use industry-standard SSL 128 or 256 bit security certificates to fully encrypt the transactions. To guarantee that your data transmission over the Internet is secure, please look for the lock icon in the status bar of your web browser. Note that EJUSA never receives your credit card information directly when you make an online donation, and as such we do not retain any credit card information.
Once we receive your information (ie non-credit card information), we make our best effort to ensure its security on our system including physical and electronic access control. We are committed to taking reasonable steps to protect the individual identifying information that you provide to us.
EJSUA does not rent or sell your email address under any circumstances. From time to time, we may forward you information from other like-minded organizations, but we will exercise discretion before forwarding such information.
