"I have no qualms with the death penalty in theory. I do, however, object to the way it is carried out in practice," says Gil Carcetti.
Carcetti sought dozens of death sentences as District Attorney for Los Angeles county, but now he supports the upcoming ballot initiative - Prop 34 - which would end California's death penalty for good.
