It takes more than just passion

Changing the world takes more than just a starry-eyed vision. You often need technical know-how. And you certainly need other people. That’s why EJUSA’s national organizer Lex attended the Allied Media Conference in Detroit.

The Conference strives to bring media and technological literacy to social justice movements. It offers training on things like website design, research methods, media relations and nonprofit accounting. It also provides an opportunity to network and collaborate.

This year was first time the death penalty repeal movement was represented at the conference. People were excited to hear about all we are doing. Events like these help make our movement just that little bit stronger – and smarter.
