Why would someone confess to a crime they didn’t commit? Watch ‘The Confessions’ online.

Emma Weisfeld-Adams

PBS’ Frontline investigates the ‘Norfolk four’ – four current and former members of the US Navy who were convicted of rape and murder in Virginia in 1997. The program explores how high-pressure police interrogation techniques, including the threat of the death penalty, led each of the men to confess, despite a lack of any evidence linking them to the crime.

The program aired on PBS last night but you can watch it in its entirety online now.
