Social Media Intern at EJUSA
We are seeking a sharp, dedicated intern to support our work with their passion for social media. If you are always on Facebook, constantly Tweeting, and have a passion for ending the death penalty, than the EJUSA Social Media Internship may be just right for you.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Help design and implement EJUSA’s social media plan.
• Draft and update social media pages and content
• Review coverage related to our issue—flagging controversial or important coverage; suggesting opportunities for response
• Research the blogosphere and assemble a spreadsheet of death penalty blogs, social/criminal justice blogs, law policy blogs, w/ contact information etc., and draft submissions to appropriate blogs
• Participate in other tasks as needed
Interns are expected to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
This internship is unpaid. Course credit may be available.
Qualifications:
• This internship requires a commitment to ending the death penalty; excitement about the endless opportunities media and communications present, and; and interest in working both independently and part of a fun, committed team.
• This internship requires strong writing, research and analytical skills; and intimate knowledge of new media.
• The intern should be creative, results-oriented, self-directed, reliable, flexible, and committed to the internship.
