Equal Justice USA (EJUSA) is a national, grassroots organization working to build a criminal justice system that is fair, effective, and humane, starting with repealing the death penalty and increasing services for families of homicide victims. We partner with state organizations to provide nationally acclaimed training and leadership development, boots-on-the-ground support, and literally thousands of hours of free consulting every year to build grassroots campaigns that win. We have also helped deepen understanding about the death penalty’s harmful impact on families of murder victims, emphasizing the need to refocus resources towards common sense criminal justice policies that reduce crime and support victims. EJUSA played a key role in ending the death penalty in Illinois, New Jersey, New Mexico, and New York.
